Press Releases FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT Taecan.com Publishes Results Results reveal users’ enthusiasm over the quality, ease and affordability SEATTLE, February 7, 2000 – Taecan.com, a Seattle-based Internet company that provides convenient, high quality, accredited continuing professional education (CPE) on the Internet, today announced it will publish the results of its first Lawyers CLE user survey. The company, which is initially proving its concept in the area of law, has more than two years experience delivering continuing legal education (CLE) online. The results of the survey will be available by March 15th and are free to Taecan content partners and discounted as a service to all ACLEA members. The results of the survey indicate that many professionals appreciate the flexibility of taking CLE courses online as a compliment to traditional classroom seminars. Many users cite wide selection, ease of use, convenience, low cost and high-quality courseware as reasons why they would continue to use online courses to complete some of their CLE credits. The ability to track and report CLE credits online through "KeepTrack"™ has also simplified the job of tracking credits earned. To date, over 2,200 lawyers have responded to survey questions online through Taecan.com’s extensive database driven user survey technology. This large representative user base has contributed to Taecan’s survey by addressing a variety of issues such as the length of time needed to complete a course, the quality of courses, evaluation of course materials, author preference and much more. "I highly recommend this learning forum to any one who cannot afford the time and expense involved in travelling around the state for CLE credits," claimed one survey participant. "This is the third course I have taken and I am convinced this is the future of CLEs! What a wonderful way to learn! I find I am much more responsive to the material when I am doing it at MY convenience." "We are very excited about the results of this survey. They confirm that Internet distribution of CLE is a convenient, cost-effective method for professionals, in this case lawyers, to fulfill some of their CLE credits," said Patrick Vane, President and CEO of Taecan.com. "Lawyers who have used Internet based courses have provided us with valuable input on how the education professional can better serve their online CLE needs and we plan to incorporate their suggestions and requests as we continue to develop the site and our services for professionals."
