Press Releases March 31, 1998: Taecan.com Goes Live in Ohio On March 31, 1998, Taecan.com met a key 1998 milestone. In association with the Ohio CLE Institute, Taecan.com is presently offering its first courses for purchase by Ohio lawyers. The 40,000 lawyers licensed to practice law in Ohio can now receive a portion of their twelve continuing legal education hours (required each year) exclusively from Taecan.com. The courses presently being offered include: Ohio Ethics Education (which consists of two one-hour courses on Ohio Ethics), Ohio LLC Agreements & Limited Partnership Agreements (a one-hour course), Ohio Substance Abuse Education (a one hour course), Security Agreements and Financing Statements (a one-hour course) and the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act in Ohio (a one-hour course). More courses are being loaded daily. In addition to the courses offered for purchase, any user may take a free sample course at Taecan.com. This course is being offered to Ohio lawyers to familiarize them with Taecan.com and the Internet as a legal education delivery tool. The sample class does not allow the user to receive credit for the course, but it allows the attorney to have the Taecan.com experience. This fully-functional site enables users to review course materials, take quizzes and tests, and report CLE credit electronically, all online. While significant effort went into the implementation of this site, it is only the beginning: improvements will be added based on Taecan.com's business-plan directives and customer and investor feedback.
