The Missouri Bar Selects Taecan.com as its Official Online CLE Partner
Online delivery of required training to benefit Missouri lawyers as CLE Deadline approaches.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO and SEATTLE, WA February 28, 2001
Missouri lawyers now have a new option to help them meet their Continuing Legal Education ("CLE") requirements. The Missouri Bar (MoBar) has selected Taecan.com, the recognized leader for Online CLE, to be its partner in offering MoBar Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses over the Internet.
The MoBar CLE content will be added to the expanding Taecan.com CLE online library and will be accessible to attorneys wherever they may be, day or night. Missouri Bar members will have high-quality continuing legal education programming available to them through a computer, at the office or at home.
The first MoBar CLE courses to be made available include: "Ethics in Personal Injury Litigation;" "A Primer on Auto Litigation, Insurance Coverage, and Ethics (Parts I and II);" "DNA Case Law Update;" and "Handling Adoptions in Missouri." Within the next 60 days many additional courses will be added including courses covering Creditors' Remedies, Nursing Home Negligence, and Solo & Small Firm Practice.
Missouri attorneys are required to take Continuing Legal Education courses, and they have a reporting deadline of June 30th each year.
"By partnering with Taecan.com, the The Missouri Bar is providing its member lawyers with a convenient, cost-effective way to satisfy their CLE requirements and meet their deadlines."

The Agreement between the two organizations also makes Taecan.com's trademarked "KeepTrack™" system available to MOBAR members at no additional cost. A boon to lawyers who have trouble keeping track of their CLE hours earned, KeepTrack™ offers a continuously available "user friendly" way to track their CLE credit hours, and report them as necessary.
"Sometimes lawyers have trouble keeping track of their credit hours earned. KeepTrack™ is an easy way to make sure all hours are accounted for and properly reported."

Traditional options for CLE credit-live seminars-often require money to be spent on travel, hotel and class registration, while attorney hourly revenue is often lost because lawyers leave their practices to attend live programs. By providing lawyers a tool to complete all or part of their CLE requirements over the Internet, whether at home or in the office, costs are reduced by having the Internet become the "classroom".
About Taecan.com. Taecan is Old English for " To teach". Taecan.com is a Seattle based Internet company that offers a convenient and affordable alternative to seminar style " fixed time and place" CLE seminars. The company, founded by an attorney and educator, has rapidly aggregated the largest online library of approved CLE titles in the world by partnering with Bar organizations to deploy their content over the Internet. Taecan.com has similar contracts with numerous other Bar organizations including the State Bar of California, the Florida Bar, the New York City Bar, the Ohio Bar, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Houston Bar; and the Atlanta Bar, and with numerous other CLE content providers.
About The Missouri Bar. Founded in 1880 and reestablished as a unified state bar in 1944, The Missouri Bar serves over 25,000 members. The Missouri Bar has recently upgraded its web site to enhance its services to Missouri Bar members using the Internet as a delivery tool for Bar publications and providing members with ready access to their official records. Online CLE is yet another way to improve service to members.
